Do you wake up feeling exhausted, rely on caffeine to push through the day, or hit a slump by 3 PM?

If so, your energy levels might have more to do with when and how you're eating than you think!

Hydrate for Energy

For years, I struggled with the same thing, especially while I was in my corporate job. My mornings would start with early calls, as early as 5.30am meetings and be back-to-back through 2pm straight. It didn't help that I was in California while the majority of my colleagues were on the E. Coast and in Europe. By the time I logged on in the mornings, my inbox would be full and I already feel behind. Coffee to the rescue! I thought, this is healthy, I'm fasting and felt energized to start the day and power through. Even with all the scientific knowledge I had, and all the nutrition information I was learning about, I honestly thought that I was doing all the right things—eating a healthy diet, exercising, getting sleep—but still, by 2pm I was ravenous, I felt exhausted and moody.

This was my routine back then:

Mid morning I'd ’d reach for another cup of coffee or a handful of nuts, even a piece of fruit, something just to keep going, hoping to keep my energy steady and brain working. I had no idea that I was harming my gut health, creating a hormone imbalances, I had no idea how to nourish myself for energy, performance and health. I was doing more damage than good. The worst part? It never lasted and led to more energy crashes and food cravings. My energy became like a roller coaster ride, it would spike and crash again, leaving me feeling even more drained.

Can you relate? Have you experienced it too?

Exhausted - you could take a nap right now?! Is this you?

The truth is, most of us are eating in a way that works against our energy, disrupts gut microbiome and imbalances hormones —not for our performance and health.

So I got to work. I experimented with different ways of eating for energy until I nailed it.

I tried it with me, with my clients (100s of clients now!), men, women, kids - it works!

I created the 4-Day Nourishment Cleanse—to help reset gut health, naturally balance hormones, and actually feel energized and alive again without needing endless caffeine, sugar, or willpower.

And —the results have been incredible and the health benefits keep on compounding.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT the 4 Day -NOURISHMENT CLEANSE

💬 "My stomach feels flatter, I’m way less bloated, and I finally understand what foods actually make me feel good. The meal plan was SO easy to follow!"

💬 "I love trying new foods, and learning how to nourish for energy. I'm so glad I joined the Cleanse and learned so much from Vesna."

Why Are You So Tired?

Many women in their 40s and beyond struggle with energy because of blood sugar imbalances (aka hormone insulin), poor hydration (inadequate minerals), and meal timing issues —not necessarily because they're eating the “wrong” foods.

Here’s what’s really draining your energy:

Skipping breakfast or eating too late in the day

Going too long between meals, causing blood sugar crashes

Not hydrating first thing in the morning (hint: coffee doesn’t count!)

Eating too much late at night, which messes with digestion & metabolism

How to Eat for Energy & Nourish Yourself

The good news? Small shifts can make a huge impact on how you feel in just 1 day! Here are some simple strategies to help you regain energy naturally:

✔️ Hydrate first thing in the morning –

Start with lemon cayenne water or an electrolyte-rich drink to kickstart digestion and flush out toxins.

✔️ Eat within a few hours of waking up –

Your cortisol is highest in the morning, making it the best time to fuel up and avoid crashes later.

✔️ Balance meals for steady blood sugar –

Include fiber, protein, and healthy fats to prevent energy rollercoaster.

✔️ Make lunch your biggest meal –

Your digestion and metabolism are strongest midday, so this is the best time to eat the largest meal of the day, make it a nourishing, well-balanced meal.

✔️ Keep dinner light –

Eating too much too late can lead to sluggish digestion and poor sleep. Stick to broth, soups, sautéed veggies for an easy-to-digest meal.

My Own Breakthrough with Energy & Food

I realized that eating less is not the key to feeling better.

Before I’d skip breakfast, eat a salad for lunch, and by 3 PM, I’d feel so depleted that any common sense around what to eat, how much, when was gone. It wasn't good.

It wasn’t until I started eating more for energy—timing my meals properly, prioritizing hydration, and balancing my macronutrients for nourishment—that my energy skyrocketed and remains stable throughout the day.

That’s why the 4-Day Nourishment Cleanse is designed the way it is. It’s not about deprivation—it’s about nourishment for your body, support for your hormones and gut health.

And it's what makes me feel alive and what has helped 100s of my clients reclaim their energy and feel alive too.

💬 "I joined the cleanse just hoping to feel a little better, but I was shocked at how much my energy improved. My brain fog lifted, my skin glows, and I haven't had coffee in months!"
